Since today is actually Halloween and it's also a Sunday and we live in Provo, Halloween was actually yesterday. And Friday.
FRIDAY as previously mentioned was our ward chili cook off and trunk or treat. Greg won. But Rex got more candy.
After the dinner, we went out for some trunk-or-treating. Here's a group shot of the family--we were cowboys and indians. A little racist, but cute none-the-less. I made Greg and Rex's costumes and borrowed mine from Hannah.
Here's Rex with his bucket, getting ready to go. He was a little confused at first, but as soon as the first lady put candy in his bucket, he grabbed it right out and stuck it--wrapper and all--in his mouth. This continued throughout the night. It's a miracle that any of the candy is still in the bucket at the end of the night--and that he didn't throw up.

SATURDAY we went real trick-or-treating, twice. It was raining so I took Rex to the Provo Mall, but we were a little late so most of the stores were out of candy. I must admit that was a bit of a mama grizzly and had to restrain myself from literally dragging Rex between the stores to get more candy. Really, did he need more candy? By this point the only thing he'd eaten in the last 24 hours was candy.
After the mall, we ran to the grocery store and that was going to be the evening, but when we got home, Greg insisted that we trick-or-treat in our neighborhood. So I loaded Rex up in the wagon and hit the 5 houses in our neighborhood with their lights on.
aw he looks so grown up...I love Rex's little shoes. Also i dig the theme outfits this year!
ReplyDeleteCute, Heather. All of you are so cute! There are certain pictures that I go, "Wow, Rex looks like a blond Noah." Do you ever see that? Or is it just me?
ReplyDeleteHe was our favorite trick-or-treater for sure! He was so cute in his little costume, walking around our front room. "Focus, Rex, focus!" Haha. Way to instill the Halloween spirit in your boy young, Heather.
