10.28.10: Halloween at the Library

I took my last outside run of the season to the library today. It was a Halloween party. I couldn't help but wonder as I jogged what people were thinking about us--why is her kid dressed up like a tiger to go on a jog?

Once we got to the library, I had to wake Rex up because we decided to go to the 11:00 story time instead of the 10:00 on so it wouldn't be so cold as we ran, but it was pretty close to nap time. As such, Rex didn't enjoy story time as much--he just liked the jumping part during the wiggles song and the Monster Mash song they played at the end.

He fell asleep again on the way home but woke up as I put him in his crib, looked up at me and laughed. He thought the tiger costume was pretty funny, and he was still wearing it--he wore it until about 3:30 this afternoon when it just got too hot, and I had to change his diaper.

And yes, Rex is wearing make up and yes, he enjoyed putting it on--the stillest he was all day, and yes, he spent a good deal of time looking at himself in the mirror, and yes, he wore it all day, and yes, even after some intense scrubbing it the bath, he still has some on.
