This kid

...is a menace.  In fact, the other day as I was undressing him so he could get in the shower (he got an indefinate ban from the bathtub after he dumped half of the tub onto the bathroom floor), he said "I'm a menace.  I'm a menace."  Truer words have never been spoken.

Well, at church on Sunday, he sat and played in our pew for a the first 30 minutes or so before deciding to go to the stand.  I follow him up and catch him before he gets past the steps.  I then return to our pew, while Henry, very loudly, informs me that "door dat way!"  as I usually just escape through the closest door when he makes a break for the stand.  We sit back down for about 30 seconds before he makes a second dash for the stand.  He made it nearly to the first row of seat on the stand before I caught him and took him out the door he informed me he wanted to exit.  Once we got out of the chapel, he pointed to "Mom chair" and had me sit down.  He then went into one of the classrooms and walked around its perimeter on the chairs while telling himself "Be careful.  Be careful."  He took the trash out and turned the lights on and off a few times.  Then he got a drink of water and calmly re-entered the chapel through the back and joined Greg and the other kids on the pew.

The little stinker had a plan the whole time.  He knew he'd get out of the chapel if he went to the stand; he then played all his usual "I escaped the chapel games" and returned to his seat.

He's 2.

I'm in trouble.
