Greg's boss thinks he's too stressed so he (the boss) gave Greg and the rest of the development team the day off, so we went to the farm.
2 tickets to the farm at Thanksgiving Point: $7
We checked out the cows.
Rex went to jail (they have a kid-sized replica old west town in the middle of the farm). He thought this was pretty funny.

We fed some llamas. This was also hilarious. Those llamas has tickle-y tongues.
By the time we got to the goats, Rex was more scared than tickled by the tongues.

2 pony rides: free with purchase of a park admission.
There was a weight limit on the ponies, so Rex took my and Greg's rides for us. He bobbed his head along with the pony's movement the entire time.
The farm also had a little indoor area where children could plant wood cards with pictures of plants on them, harvest the plants, take them to a conveyor-belt truck to have your crops transferred to market, and then sort the crops on the market shelves. There were also crawl through tunnels to explore how water flowed through dirt. Rex also enjoyed it. He could have stayed there for hours.
Total trip: $8.07 + gas and 3 hours of educational fun. It's too bad Rex needed a nap and we had to go home. Definitely worth the trip, and a return one for the Halloween spook days.
wow that looks like a lot of fun for the people...I'm not so sure the ponies enjoyed it though.
