9.13.10: Summer

If this is any indication of what our summer's been like.

We went to the park almost every day. Rex can now climb a rock wall, nearly climb a ladder, and slide (sitting up) all by himself.

We went to the beach (twice).

We went camping.

We went to the pool nearly every week (Thanks Hannah).

We played with the chickens and on the swing set nearly every day.

We went to California (twice).

We went to Disneyland.

Consequently, we survived (barely) our first road trip.

We went to North Carolina.

We went to the library at least once a week (but still paid late fees?)

We (or rather I) learned how to mow and edge the lawn.

We (or, again, I) weeded and weeded and weeded.

We blew bubbles, drew with sidewalk chalk, and played with food coloring all on our drive way.

We are a little sad to see summer go and are more than dreading the coming snow and our quickly fading tan lines, but fall still is my favorite season.

  1. Yeah for fall...I'm throwing a First day of fall party instead of First of October...since i'll be in Wa and need some more time to decorate for Halloween

  2. My kids too. We were left with flip flop tan lines just wondering where that box of socks was! The season changes always shock me...I guess it is from being an Arizona girl.
