Just to be clear, this was not the type of parent I ever intended to be. My children were always going to be well-dressed, bathed, and in general beautiful. And for a while, I succeeded. And then Alice was born and dressing two children got annoying. And more annoying, and more annoying. And finally I convinced Rex to dress himself. For a while I continued to pick out his clothes. But then he decided to pick out his own clothes. He is ridiculously picky. He will only wear athletic shorts and a select number of shirts that are not too long. Wednesday, after literally showing Rex every single one of his shirts and him rejecting each, I got frustrated and left. About fifteen minutes later (seriously, he can take up to an hour to get dressed), he came out in this: athletic shorts, a mismatched, worn-out hand-me down shirt on backwards and the cheap flip-flops I had to buy to use the last $3 on a coupon. At least he lets me brush his hair. At least, I tricked Alice into wearing her own matching clothes.

Your kids are awesome! I especially like the "boa" Rex is wearing.
ReplyDeleteI wore my formal black pj's today in honor of your pj Monday. If I wear them again tomorrow, just pretend I didn't tell you I wore them already.
ReplyDeleteps- your kids are super cute. I'm hoping Alice will be wearing one of Rex's shirts as a skirt tomorrow.
