I am fully aware that I am really dragging out these posts on our little trip to North Carolina, but you don't have to read this and my mom will enjoy the pictures of Rex.
Thursday we drove back to Charlotte and decided to go to Charlotte's children's library Imagine On. It's more like a hands-on children's museum than a library--it does have books. Rex loved it. We were there for about an hour, but could have stayed for hours more. If we move to Charlotte, this will probably be one of our favorite hang outs.
The exhibits were all based on conservation.
Here's Rex crawling through a car-tire tunnel at the Smart car exhibit.
This library/museum is everything that's good about the South. While at the Provo City library Rex gets pushed around and beat up, the kids at this library waited in line, let Rex have a turn and even helped him reach things he couldn't reach--and all this without their parents forcing them. They just did it. Southern hospitality is a real thing. Maybe the South will rise again.
Whoa, I don't know if we can be friends if you start talking like that. Although, i guess I wouldn't mind if Texas seceded from the nation, as long as there's no war and I don't have to wear those awful hoop skirts.
ReplyDeleteAnd, you're right, Southern hospitality is amazingly refreshing.
