A Few of Rex's Adventures

Last Saturday, I decided that I'm sick of sitting around on Saturdays and not doing anything. I thought adult life would be more exciting and that we would be super busy on Saturdays like my parents always were, but with Rex, we don't have any soccer games or cub scout meetings so we sit.

And I got sick out it.

And then we found this little place.

It's an ankle deep, man-made river with rock fountains all down the middle in American Fork/Highland. Rex enjoyed it. He didn't love it, but he had a good enough time to go again. best part: it's free.

So as mentioned last week, I'm running out of things to do with Rex and am getting really bored. Wednesday was another one of those days. And so adventure.

Greg took the car to work that day leaving Rex and I stranded. Not so. We did things European style. We took the bus. Too bad bus-riding is not very baby friendly. I wanted to go to the Bean Life Science Museum, but didn't want to walk from the Wilk to the Bean so I decided to stay on the bus until the next stop, so I pulled the cord. And the driver didn't stop. And didn't stop and didn't stop. I was beginning to think I was just going to be stuck on the bus until it made it up the to University Mall where I could get on the return bus and just go home. An afternoon on the bus. Because the bus still wasn't stopping. The driver did pause for a second once, but with Rex, diaper bag, and stroller I couldn't jump right up the second the driver started to think about stopping.

And then finally, somebody else hit the stop requested button and jumped up the second the driver started to think about stopping, which then allowed me to grab the stroller, diaper bag, and baby and get off the bus, which was a long walking distance to the BYU Paleontology Museum.

Rex loved it.

He ran around the whole thing screaming. He crawled under, around and through all the replication skeletons. I tried really hard to get a good picture of him, but, as luck would have it, he wouldn't sit still.

Then, rather than risk another bus fiasco, Rex and I made an even longer walk back to the Wilk, hit up the BYU yard sale (I got Greg a fishing pole for $8 and a dress for me for $1).

Another fun day.
