Baby is gone.
We still call her that, but Zora Jane is most definitely a toddler now. I'm a little sad but mostly because she's getting a bit naughty. She loves to tease everyone, which is fine now because she's still a young toddler, but in a few months, she's going to get in trouble--the older kids don't put up with Henry's non-sense and Zora is on a short leash. She also loves to draw. She even holds a pencil correctly, which I didn't teach her. She's just naturally so intelligent. Obviously, look at her parents. She loves to give kisses and hugs. She loves to play with the Wheatley's cat. She loves to get into things. Recently she's decided she's a big kid and should get to sit in a booster at the bar for meals. Today she climbed on the counter and knocked a bowl of Cheerios with milk onto the floor so she lost her booster sitting privileges. She's also getting fat. Her legs are getting some little rolls and her face is filling out--probably because she eats for about an hour at dinner, long after the rest of the family is done. She must be getting ready for a huge growth spurt.
All-in-all we love her, but are also bracing for the terrible 2s. She has a pretty good menacing mentor.

Catching up on your blog since I last read it in the beginning of the summer feels like how the last 3 months went- all too quick and I'm missing summer adventures. What a fun and crazy summer you had! I too would like to live a nomad life...I hate doing home chores and these past 3 months it's been David doing most of the laundry because he has run out of clothes to wear to work (whereas the kids and I just wore swimsuits or the same clothes over and over...). and try as you might, I don't think Charlotte/NC has as many cool things like Utah. I feel like Utah has so many more cool things to do because 1. You don't sweat like pig or get eaten alive by bugs like here in NC 2. Uhhhhh I can't think of 2 but it just seems like there's more stuff there than here. But I'm happy you are here and not in Utah :).
ReplyDeleteAs far as the party for the in-laws, I thoroughly enjoyed the party despite the small number of people. You did a great job on everything! I didn't get that invite from the Matthews ward so whoever the heck planned that one was dumb for not doing a joint party since you sent the invite to them and to people in my ward. People are stupid. You should move to the Matthews ward and try to even out the normalcy :).
Guess I should get Ephraim off the computer. We need to have Henry and Ephraim play. I'll text you soon. Sorry this was the longest comment ever. Ps- Zora is adorable.
time to have another
