Zora Jane's New Trick

Zora is a late walker.  Well, when I say it like it sounds like she walks.  She doesn't.  She's been able to stand by herself for a while now.  We even managed to get her to take a few steps a few months back.  And then, she was like, Nope.

We tried to get her to walk, but she just did this

sometimes accompanied by weeping, waling and gnashing of teeth.

Then this weekend, Greg and I snuck away for a few days for our anniversary, and Grandma Libby swore in her wrath that Zora Jane would walk.  And she did.  For Grandma.  As soon as we got home she was back to crawling.  We did manage to get her doing her little trick here

but she will only do it on occasion.  She still isn't convinced that walking is the way to go.  Hopefully we'll get there soon because she has lots of cute shoes she's growing out of before she even gets to wear them (I don't believe in putting shoes on kids when in doors until they have mastered walking).

Aside from her refusal to walk, Zora thinks she can swim

And loves to cheer on Rex at his swim meets--well and now herself when she graces us with walking.
