Greg forgot about this, but I didn't. Rex has been out of the hospital for one year now. I haven't stepped foot in that hospital, or any other for that matter, since March 26, 2009 and it feels great. I could go into lots of soul searching and pondering on how I feel about doctors, but I've decided to just not think about it any more and maybe one day I won't want to kick Rex's NICU and primary care and my OB in the face...one day.
But it's been a long year and Rex has done a lot of growing. He was 5 pounds 10 ounces; now he's 18 pounds 5 ounces, still not big enough to be out of an infant seat, but I solved that problem by getting a convertible car seat. He's also grown over 10 inches. Instead of being in the 0 percentile (I know it doesn't make any sense, but that's what my OB/Rex's doctor said...one of the many reasons we no longer see her) and is now in the 50th for height, 10th for head circumference, and 5th for weight. He's doctor says it's because he has such large parents, no that's really what Rex's new doctor said. Funny guy.
So I re-inacted Rex's arrival home from the hosptial to show how much he's grown. Note: he is wear T-Rex pjs in both pictures.

That is such a cool sword! Where did you get that? It looks like an authentic samurai sword from Japan. Congratulations on your "real" birthday.
