Cinco de Cinco

So Alice turned 5.  She wanted a super hero party at Chuck E. Cheese.  For the rest of the day, Alice just wanted to paint nails at home and eat Mac n Cheese.  Then she got a surprise and her best friend Lottie ditched school and came over and played for a few hours.  I'd say she had a pretty awesome day.

In honor of Alice's birthday five things I love about Alice

1. Alice loves to cuddle and read stories.

2. Alice is pretty good at articulating her needs and desires.

3. When Alice throws a tantrum, she goes to her room to do so.

4. Alice is a hard worker.  She is learning to read, write, and ride a 2-wheeled bike.

 5. Alice loves to try new things--soccer, tee ball, dancing, sewing--just not new foods.

Now, Alice is also a little crazy.  Here are five weird things about her

1. Alice HATES socks.  It takes a good 10 minutes to get her soccer cleats on because she hates socks and shoes.  It is the more frustrating 10 minutes of my week every week.

2. Alice is hungry most of the time--she eats mac n cheese, spaghetti, and cream cheese and crackers and when those things aren't available, she just doesn't eat.

3. Alice is really into biting and licking people. 

4. Alice hates shoes.  I buy her a new pair of shoes just about once a month because refuses to wear the ones I bought the month before.

5. Alice refuses to buckle her own seatbelt because she can't get it tight enough.  She likes the seat belt locked.  Drives me crazy buckling in 3 kids.
