A few nights again, she was hungry. She was waiting not so patiently in her high chair (she's not know for her patience--I did say practically perfect didn't I?) for the family to join her at the table. Once we all sat down, she immediately folded her arms, knowing that food comes only after prayer.
She has made up a few of her own signs: open palm to mouth: water...ok just one so far. But she also signs milk, the real way.
She says Dada to mean Dad and "moma" to mean milk.
And then a few days ago, while we were at the park, she did this:
Though to be fair, a few days after this, we went to another park, and Alice walked right off the play-set and landed face down in the tan bark. (Really, she was trying to go down a slide, I was at the bottom waiting to catch her, Rex was going down then climbing back up the slide not giving Alice a chance to come down, so she got bored of waiting and walked off the edge. I ran to catch her but missed. She got a little cut on her cheek and a slight bruise above her eye. She's still alive.)
I can't see the video. Only a message that the video is private. And no, I never get sick of hearing how much better my grandchildren are than everybody else's.
ReplyDeleteI can't see the video either. As to the practicaly perfect children, wait till they get a little older. I have decided the primary purpose of children is to humble parents. And you are right: they are way smarter than us (at least my generation).
